Your journey at Pure Smiles begins with a new patient consultation focused on giving you a clear picture of your current oral health and understanding your long-term dental needs. Every consultation is carried out by our principal dentists, Ayzaaz or Shiraz, who together bring 57 years of clinical experience to your care.
Your appointment starts with a detailed review of your medical and dental history. This is followed by a mindful examination. We assess the health of your soft tissues and screen for oral cancer. We look at how your jaw works and your bite. We identify signs of strain that may contribute to headaches, facial discomfort and tooth wear. A full gum health assessment is carried out, including checks for gum disease and recession. We also complete an evaluation of existing restorations and assess the overall health of your teeth and any areas of discomfort.
Where appropriate, we use low-dose digital X-rays, cone beam digital imaging, and advanced intra-oral scanning to support accurate diagnosis and long-term monitoring. Prevention is central to our philosophy, and you will receive clear, personalised oral health advice to help protect and maintain your smile.
Patients are also welcome to discuss their aesthetic goals and the range of cosmetic treatments we provide during the consultation. Our focus remains on providing care that is appropriate and aligned with our philosophy of supporting your long-term oral health and function.
Your consultation concludes with either a maintenance pathway or a clear, considered treatment plan to address any issues identified.
