The cost of Invisalign braces will depend on the type you choose. There is a range of different products within the Invisalign brand, including Teen, i7, Lite, Full, or the classic Invisalign braces. Get in touch with the Pure Smiles team to find out our prices.

Moulds are created based on the shape of your mouth and the optimal positioning you desire. There will be subtle force that pushes teeth into the positions you want over time, but you probably won’t even notice the difference until a few months have passed.

Every couple of weeks, a new mould will need to be made to take account of the progress that has already been made so that more moulding can happen.

Invisalign is a brand of clear aligners that you wear to address teeth misalignment, overcrowding, an overbite, an underbite, and in some cases speech issues. They are transparent and removable, working extremely effectively in sorting the problems you face with your smile.

Our patients speak very highly of the Invisalign products and what they have done to transform their smiles. Their discretion and comfort are two major selling points for the brand, offering customers peace of mind that these braces aren’t obvious to themselves or others while working to fix the teeth issues that are present.

No, Invisalign doesn’t hurt. The aligners are remarkably comfortable and you’ll get a change of mould to wear every couple of weeks to take account of the progress that has already been made. Your mouth will be digitally scanned to begin with and the moulds will be designed accurately for comfort so the treatment can work optimally.

Yes, Invisalign braces can address your overbite issues. This can be a particularly concerning problem for some people who might feel self-conscious about it, so Invisalign can be a wonderful solution for those patients. Your teeth and their position can slowly be adjusted so that you won’t notice it working over a short space of time, but by the end of the treatment, you’ll see the difference and we’re sure you’ll be happy with it.

Invisalign aligners are best cleaned by removing the product from your mouth and then rinsing the inside and outside of it under a tap using cold or tepid water. Make sure not to use very hot water as this could risk damaging the braces. Shake out the aligners so that you remove as much liquid as possible before placing them back in your mouth. Don’t use any scented soaps or products not designed to clean the braces for washing them.

Drinking water while wearing Invisalign should be fine, as long as it is not boiling. Other liquids might risk the integrity and shape of your braces so you should remove the aligners before consuming other liquids.

No, we wouldn’t suggest you eat while wearing Invisalign products. Some foods can be hard, hot, or sticky, and it would be best to avoid these while the braces are in your mouth. Thankfully, the aligners are easily removable so you can take them out to eat, clean your mouth afterwards, and then put the Invisalign braces back in.

No, you shouldn’t smoke at all with Invisalign. Aside from the obvious detriment to your oral and general health, smoking risks to quality of the product. The heat and smoke from a cigarette can misshape the aligners, discolour them, or even crack them.

If you want to wear Invisalign aligners, we’d recommend that you stop smoking first.

Invisalign aligners offer more comfort and discretion than classic metal braces. You’ll have a much easier job eating, drinking, and cleaning your teeth because the braces are removable, unlike those that are wired into your mouth.

However, Invisalign aligners are typically more expensive than “train track” braces, so this could be a factor in your decision.

That depends on the type of Invisalign product you select. The i7 or Lite versions of Invisalign take less time to resolve issues than Full or the classic type, but they are unlikely to fix more severe issues. Your dentist will suggest the best type for you based on your needs and circumstances.

It’s suggested that you wear the aligners as much as possible within a day - aim for 20+ hours if possible, removing them for eating, drinking, and cleaning.

No, the NHS doesn’t offer Invisalign products. The only type of braces you can usually get on the NHS are metal braces. The cost of this could be subsidised, or even free depending on your age, but you’d need to consider the reported discomfort and aesthetic appearance of this type of braces
