I decided to have Invisalign clear braces because I was unhappy with the rotation of my canines. It is also easier to clean and take care of straight teeth so this was another factor.
Invisalign braces appealed to me because they look a lot more presentable than conventional brackets and they are more comfortable: I soon got used to them. I have a customer-facing job so this was important. I think I would have hated metal braces.
I joined Pure Smiles about six months ago. My mum is Ayzaaz’s dental nurse so I was already familiar with the practice. Going to Pure Smiles is really quite pleasant. It is so modern, in comparison to other practices I’ve visited. The dentists have lots of digital equipment and they are all very savvy.
Ayzaaz is friendly and cheerful – he’s a really nice bloke. He thinks my treatment will take around 8 months, which is great. I will then need to wear aligners for a while afterwards to make sure my teeth stay in their new position.
I qualified as a dental technician two years ago and I am now studying product design at university. I am hoping to merge the two and perhaps work in medical design in hospitals or perhaps in dentistry.
I work with a bunch of dental technicians so they have noticed but most of my friends and family didn’t know I was wearing a brace. It’s great that people can’t tell and this was something else that led me to choose Invisalign. I’m really looking forward to how my teeth will look.
